Interpretation
Interpretation is a service that is needed everywhere when there is a need to discuss something between different language-speaking people. We need interpolators in courtrooms, hospitals, political and business meetings, etc. interpolators play an important role in the development of society and business as well.
We can divide Interpretation into two main categories; Simultaneous interpretation and consecutive interpretation. Simultaneous interpreters convert the speech and talk of the speaker at the same time when the speaker speaks. Simultaneous interpretation is being done usually in large conferences, business and political meetings. During Simultaneous interpretation the interpreter should be very careful and attentive to convert the meaning from one language to another. Consecutive interpretation is being done when the speaker takes a pause during interpretation; usually, it goes sentence by sentence and word by word.

While choosing interpretation as a career option the Interpreter should have the ability to convert the meaning from the source language to the target language accurately and quickly. The main problem faced by an interpolator is colloquialisms. The speaker used some colloquial words and sentences during his/her talk so the interpreter should have overall knowledge of frequently used colloquial words and sentences.
The interpreter should have a good memory and the ability to think quickly. He/she should have good command over current affairs and political and cultural awareness.
The field of interpretation has become a great field and gained great importance in all parts of the globe. Many languages differ from one country to another, while some countries share the same language with slight differences sometimes, and with the increase in acquaintance between countries and exchange and foreign and international relations and truism, it has become imperative for many people to learn a language different from their original language, and some of them intended to obtain more than one language, so he/she excelled in that to enter the field of interpretation.
There are many types of interpretation, and here we will discuss some of these interpretations as follow:
Simultaneous Interpretation
While watching live news on TV perhaps you have seen Simultaneous Interpretation when someone speaks in his/her mother language, for example, English, and the interpretation into another language is done by the interpreter, the interpreter converts the original language into another language at the same time of the conversation, so he cannot memorize or write what speaker says, but he will have to interpret correctly. This type of interpretation is one of the most difficult interpretations and requires speed and experience in performance.
Consecutive Interpretation
The consecutive interpretation is considered a good and easier interpretation, as the interpreter does not begin to interpret what the speaker says until it ends, and thus he can analyze the idea and coordinate the speech before starting interpretation, especially with his presence next to the speaker and giving him the appropriate time and then interoperating the speech after the speaker means that he will have the time to think about words and structure and meanings.
Whisper Interpretation
Whisper Interpretation is also called Chuchotage Interpretation and is used in the absence of simultaneous translation devices, where the speaker whispers in the ear of the one who wants to interpret and gives him the correct interpretation.
Conference Interpretation
Perhaps you have come across conferences being held and the attendees are of different nationalities and languages, and thus each of them will need an interpreter for his language and commit themselves in these conferences to simultaneous translation and thus communication becomes easy and there are no obstacles.
Media Interpretation
Media Interpretation has many types, and it is among the types of interpretation, including the Interpretation of films, presentations, meetings and even conferences, including interviews, tapes, and many more, and it may depend on more than one type of interpretation, and it appears as videos and on radio and television programs.
Benefits of interpretation
Interpretation has many types, as mentioned above, and every person may succeed in a certain type. The interpreter generates a lot of profits for himself and plays a great role in the development of society. The interpreter can accomplish many achievements and he will be famous for his work and innovate with it, but every diligent person who wants to reach this stage must make an effort and excels in his work to be able to enter this field and succeed in it.
